Vacuoles - Ben Belcher

Ben Belcher

Topic:
Vacuoles

The Vacuole is a Cell Organelle present in both Animal and Plant cells.
The function of the Vacuole is for storage of both water and waste, however in plant cells it has the added function of structure. The vacuole in a plant cell is much bigger to provide a stronger structure.

Reflection:
The vacuole is extremely important to plants, can you imagine if vacuoles didn't exist in plant cells alone? All the trees would be droopy as the Cell wall wouldn't be strong enough to support it by itself. I love outdoors activated so vacuoles actually affect me a lot.

  1. I like how you organized your information and the picture you used. I believe that you could type more in the reflection part.

  2. I like how you started your post with the statement that it's present in both plants and animals, it made me think that this is a vital part of an organism. The vacuole is one of those parts that isn't as famous. One thing that could've been done better is depth, it's not as long as it looks.

  4. I like the way you set it up, and how you included a picture. I think that you should have included what the structures in the pictures are, and what they do( tonoplast, and cell sap). I like how in your reflection you had real life examples.
