Respiration Michael Tonga Sani

Formula for Cellular Respiration
  • Glucose + Oxygen (Reactants)= water + carbon dioxide + ATP (Products)

  • Cellular Respiration is located in the Mitochondria (it makes energy).

  • Organisms from all kingdoms of life, including bacteria, archaea, plants, protistsanimals, and fungi, can use cellular respiration.

  • The reactants for cellular respiration are glucose and oxygen. The products for cellular respiration are water, carbon dioxide, and energy (also known as ATP).

  • Cellular Respiration is very important because it provides us (living organisms) energy to let us perform our function.

Reflection

I've learned that without cellular respiration, your body would not be able to function properly. Organisms isn't just for humans. It's in plants, animals, and fungi. It can function in different categories of life. I knew that cellular respiration helped you with breathing because of the word respiration. I was a little surprised to learn that cellular respiration also happens in plants because plants don't really breath but now I learned why and how they use cellular respiration.

  1. I like that you included the Formula of Cellular Respiration. Cellular respiration is often out shined by photosynthesis, even though the two are two sides of the same coin. One more thing you could've added is how energy after cellular respiration can also be called ATP.
